[laughter] can stormy weather. maria: coming up, trump organization executive vice president and president trump's son eric trump is here on the state of affairs inside the courtroom and the impact of biden's policy across the country. plus, two systems of justice. ohio congressman jim jordan on the alleged crimes manufactured among trump haters. the judiciary committee chairman with his investigation of the

inflation spiking. the cost of just about everything still rising. the gdp declining from 4.9 in the third quarter of last year to 1.6% in the first quarter of this year. inflation up a stunning 18.9% on joe biden's watch. the federal reserve's preferred inflation reading, the pce, spiking 2.7% in the month of march. the wide open border causing upset in communities across the country with 10 million so-called newcomers or illegal migrants in america on biden's watch. new harris and axios polling showing americans growing warily of the impact of biden's border crisis. 46% of independents, 42% of democrats saying they are in favor of mass deportations of migrants who entered the country illegally. elsewhere, discord is raging in america with students at columbia university still waging protests over israel's war against hamas terrorists. demonstrators calling for the ivy league to cut ties with israel. one of the united states'

executive vice president of the trump corporation and the son of president trump, eric trump back with us. thank very much for joining me this morning. >> thanks, maria. maria: how is your father feeling? tell us about this case in new york and what you've been able to glean from it. >> my father's feeling great. his poll numbers are through the roof. you see that in every single swing state he's beating biden. the lo out there is incredible -- love out there is incredible. you saw it with the african-american voters, you see it with youth voters which was typically, obvious, a democratic segment. and they're all coming over to my father. my father feels great. system and when you play that video of biden where he says four more years/pause, it's the exact reason that they're trying to tie my father up in a courtroom every single day between now and then. they know this guy doesn't stand a chance. no one believes him. the world, maria, is embarrassed by this man, and so what do they do? the they use legal lawfare. it came out the other day that biden directed the fbi raid on

my father's home. obviously, you know, bragg is a soros-paid, you know, d.a. no different than f if ani. they want to torture my if father, but no one is believing it. right now, maria, new york is falling, or right? the you have homelessness through the roof, women being pushed in front of trains, you have cops that are being aa saws nateed, assassinated in their squad cars. you have little kids that are being shot in times square, and they're going after a guy for $130,000 payment? every day they close a courtroom, you know, they close the streets around the court it costs 20 times that. the every time they shut down the fdr drive, it costs 50 times that. no one believes it. all while in new york you can't go into duane reade, you can't go into cvs and buy skin lotion because it has to be locked behind plexiglas because theft is so high. and the d.a.'s entire focus is donald trump? give me a break. the cup does not believe it -- the country does not believe it,

but this guy's not going to make it. he can't get down a pair of stairs, he can't finish a sentence, he can't read off a teleprompter without some kind of gaffe. maria: well, look, this is a bigger issue than just frump. i mean -- just president trump. this is about two different can systems of justice, and i want to get your take on whether or not that is, in fact, resonating on people. because until the election are, we're going. to see this split screenful you're talking about all of these indictments against president trump and d.a. as wanting to go to trial before the election. is it impacting people's perception of what's going on? if i mean, president trump is still leading president biden in all of those swing states, and yet we see pictures of president biden campaigning freely and and attacking trump. and you see your father, president trump, sitting in that courtroom all day. >> you know, maria, it's the law of unintended consequences, and the democrats for whatever reason haven't figured this out, and they rush it up every single

time. it's the law of up intended consequences. biden goes to pennsylvania and zero people show is up. literally, i go to any rally and i have a hundred times more people than biden had two weeks ago in pennsylvania, yet my father at i 6:30 in the morning goes out and has every union worker on the biggest job in new york chanting usa, usa, usa before they're even opening their eyes, that's how early it is. he goes to harlem and he has massive crowds around a bodega, and this is literally a pop-up event, right? so with all the power of air force one and with all the power of the executive branch, biden can't have anybody show is up, yet my father is drawing these massive crowds, is fund raising the likes of which no one has ever seen before for the presidency. people want america back. people want to be president bidenful in this country again. people want a -- president bidenful for this -- prideful again. protests are happening. you have people in this country who are chanting death to america. death to america in the united

states of america. the whole world is up in arms. the economy stinks, inflation, they can't keep it under control. the markets are dropping as you've seen over the last week. you know, people can no longer afford to live. rent is through the roof. where do you want me to stop? maria: yeah. >> the world is crazy right now. the middle east is on fire when it was perfect under my father. they want our world back. they want stability again. maria: it's very disturbing. the supreme court is now weighing this monumental case on whether or not president trump has immunity from prosecution. we saw some of the hearing this week, it felt like listening to some of those this supreme court justices that they were willing to admit to some or acknowledge some immunity. what did you take away if what you heard from the supreme court this week, and when do you expect a decision? >> well, god help us if they get it wrong. i know the system very, very well. and the only people or who are going to benefit are big law

firms in washington, d.c., because they are going to go after every single president. they'll start with obama. fast and furious, right? where he gives 2,000 weapons to cartel members. and then obama where he weaponized the irs against sieves. they'll probably go after a biden for having cocaine in the white house, for raiding his opponent if's home. they'll probably go after him for literally two weeks before the 2022 primaries literally depleting the petroleum martial -- you know, the reserves so he could lower gas prices by 4 cents and hopefully help him, actually, in the polls. where do you want to stop? are they going to go after george bush for trying about weapons of mass destruction? where does this stop, maria? the only people that are going to win are going to be the lawyers in washington d.c. the floodgates are going to open. and i guarantee you joe biden will not have one foot outside of the white house doors before they start going after him legally, ruthlessly. presidents need immunity in this country. if they don't, their entire

tenure as president is literally going to be filled in depositions and subpoenas like they've tried to do to my if father for the last eight years. we can't have this legal lawfare in this country. we need a president to actually be able to function and run the united states of america. maria: so are you expecting that in june, a decision from the supreme court? what are you expecting? >> well, i certainly hope that presidents have absolute immunity. and if they don't, they're not going to be able to function as presidents of the united states. you're going to have a president that literally every single day, you know, biden, hey, when they withdrew from afghanistan, 13 service members were killed. is that manslaughter because he was incompetent? i mean, where do you draw the line, maria? if you better have presidential immunity, because that's an awfully tough job. tough decisions are made every single day. mistakes are made, and presidents can't be prosecuted. maria: yeah. i think this week there's a day off that the president, the former president is expected to go campaign, but he's been or

unable to do the kind of campaigning that president biden is doing. this week he will be going to, what, michigan and wisconsin? on the one day off? >> that's right. he's going all over the place. and his stamina, maria, i've never seen anything like it in my life are. he'll be in trial all day long e lentlessly being attacked by a corrupt judge whose literally family is apparently profiting off this whole thing only to step out and do events at a bodegas and wake up and speak to union workers and go to michigan, pennsylvania, ohio and all the other swing states. the guy is a remarkable human being. i love him to death, and i'm proud of him. i think the the whole world knows his backbone and toughness, and it's exactly who we need behind the resolute desk in washington d.c. it's the exact person we need in the oval office. maria: well, he certainly has been able to raise money during all of this. your wife, lara trump, is now the cochair of the rnc. what kind of a difference do you believe she is making? a lot of people want to

understand what the republicans are doing to insure election integrity. i know that's one of her key priorities, correct? >> it's everything. making sure that not a penny wasted, election integrity. she showed up at the white house correspondents' dinner last night, she went into the if pit of snakes to say the least and into the swamps, and they had a couple of remarks about her on stage which means she's doing something effectively. the last time they did that was when hay hit my father on stage and he went on to win the white house. i'm proud of her. she's an amazing wife, she's an amazing person. she's smart as hell. she's working tirelessly. she's really changed with the whole group of our team, she's changed the rnc and made them into an incredible organization. and we are going to have victory in november. maria: and a aligned with president trump, which is very important in terms of the republican party at large. eric, it's good to have you this morning. thanks. very much for being here.

ongoing crisis at the southern border and support groups who are producing and distributing fentanyl in america. it is unclear if any of this came up this week when secretary of state antony blinken traveled all the a way to china and met with president xi jinping. we don't know if he actually brought up all a of the behavior of the ccp against america. meanwhile, president biden has yet to say much about the anti-semitism raging on college campuses. the president was asked if he condemns the anti-israel protests, and he condemned both sides. watch. >> i condemn the anti-semitic protests, that's why i've set up a program to deal with that. i also condemn those who don't understand what's going on with the palestinians and how they've been -- maria: joining me now with reaction is harvard law professor e her if discuss alan dershowitz author of the new book, "war against the jews: how to end hamas barbarism." alan a, great to see you. thanks very much for being here. i want to get your reaction to all of this anti-semitism.

no one thought we would ever see this again, or certainly in america, and we're seeing it. we're yet to hear enough from president biden, but who do you think is behind all of this? >> well, it's a deep problem at universities today with their diversity, equity and inclusion bureaucracies and intersectionality. they have been teaching anti-semitism now for several years, and it's come to a fore. let me tell you what i'm most afraid of. among the people in front of columbia university are people who will become terrorists, who will help hamas, who will be part of the fifth column. how do i know this? because i represented many dissenters and protesters during the 1960s and 1970s. and do you know what happened to some of them? some of them turned from advocating terror theism to becoming terrorists. people like kathy the boudin and bernadette borne.

they started as a protester, then joined the weather underground and that's going to happen to these protesters. it's coming to a theater near you. these are not just kids who are screaming and yelling we are hamas. 10,000 times more october 7th. we applaud the rockets. burn tel aviv down. these are people who when a maas comes to america -- and they will -- and they approach some of these kids who they've been grooming now for year, they will help them plant bombs just the way radical weather people planted bombs in the 1970s. so this is not just about israel or tel aviv, this is about new york, boston, washington, san francisco if. this is america. these terrorists are coming here. we are building a fifth column in this country of hamas-supported terrorism. maria: unbelievable. but what about these reports that there are front groups that are being funded by george soros related groups funding the

chaos? many of these people are showing up with the same tent, same outfits. someone's funding it, so i want to know who you think is behind it. there's also, you know, you just heard carlos gimenez talking about the chinese communist party which often a times the ccp jumps on our political conversations and tries to create discord in america. >> there's no question about that. and russia does too. and there's no question that organizations funded by george soros and the rockefeller brothers, take, for example, an organization called jewish voice for peace. it has been behind many of these demonstrations. they're not jewish and they don't want peace. it's a fake organization. it's an old line group of communists and around a -- anarchists that want to overthrow the united states government. these are people who 40 support iran, these are people who support if china, these are people who support america's enemies, and they are funding much of this as well as other countries that are funding some of this. but these organizations are funded by george soros and other

organizations that help fund these academic and turn these useful idiots into protesters and eventually into terrorists. that's what terrifies me, because i know. i saw it. what happened to kathy boudin? she became a murderer. then she was released from prison. guess what happened to her? she was hired to teach students at columbia university. she probably taught some of these people who are now demonstrate thing against america. demonstrating against america. down with america, death to america. kathy boudin and others who were terrorists who -- maria: yeah. >> -- became terrorists, then became teachers of future protesters. this is a much deeper problem than what's going on at a columbia university. maria: well, i mean, shouldn't the white house take this on and be more forceful against anti-semitism? let's face it, the tone is set from the top, and the democrats have been attacking benjamin netanyahu for now months in the middle of this war as if, as

literally he's fighting for the survival of his country. you had chuck schumer the other day saying we need new elections in israel, bibi netanyahu no longer serves the interest of israel and the people there. and then you had joe biden come out and say, oh, what a great speech chuck schumer just gave. ted cruz was on this program last week, and senator from texas said look at the leadership are, the democrats' leadership, schumer and pelosi, they have also been, you know, fueling this anti-semitism in many ways. >> and ted was my former student, and i'm very proud of the way he has stood up for israel against the democrats. look, the squad has been virulently anti-israel, and we have not seen from the democratic party a single, unequivocal statement simply condemning the lies. israel's committing genocide? they have had fewer civilian casualties in proportion to combatants than any country in modern history. it's just a series of lies.

[audio difficulty] >> by president biden when he created this moral equivalence between people who are -- and murdering and people who are saying, well, wait a minute. maybe the palestinians are being hurt by fellow palestinians rather than by israelis and by america. ask -- we're seeing from the white house the opposite of support, and i think it's turning a lot of people, a lot of people who used to be knee-jerk democrats are now saying we really can't vote for this administration. they have refused to condemn aoc, the squad, they have refused to condemn anti-semitism. the question is, whose side are they on? are they on iran's side or israel's side? this is a zero sum gain. you have to pick and choose, and you have to pick and choose democracy, and you have to pick and choose the nation-state of the jewish people which is under attack although the front of "the wall street journal" just said that maybe the international criminal court --

for the first time in its history e -- will go after a democracy, israel, for war crimes. maria: yeah. >> israel doesn't commit car -- war crimes, hamas does. maria: and then in the middle of it, you have antony blinken threatening to put sanctions on the idf, the israeli defense forces. i mean, just -- in the middle of all of this, you actually talk about sanctions against israel? i mean, it's absolutely extraordinary. look, alan, before you go, aye got to get your take on what's going on in this manhattan d.a.'s courtroom where donald trump has been spending all his days. what is the crime? >> there is no crime. that's why they're putting on people like pecker talking about catch and kill, they're putting on mcdougal, they're putting on -- there's no crime. and, you know, they ought to be very careful about this because the supreme court, the appellate court in albany just reversed arkansas i have e weinstein's conviction with on -- i have weinstein's conviction on the ground they put in too much information that wasn't relevant to the case. and that's what's happening. there is no crime in man

manhattan. you cannot figure out what the crime is. that's why they're putting on all this ed of noncrimes -- evidence of noncrimes, trying to persuade the jury that paying hush money is a crime. it's not. putting a corporate statement is a misdemeanor barred by the statute of limitation, you can't sudden arely resurrect that and turn that into a crime by invoking a federal statute which the federal government refused to invoke. there is no crime. maria: wow. >> and if it's donald trump today, they can go after you and your relatives tomorrow for something that isn't a crime. that's why every american whether you're a democrat -- [audio difficulty] should be opposed to what's going on in that manhattan courtroom. it's a scandal, and it's the destruction of america's rule of law. maria: simply extraordinary. alan, thank you. alan dershowitz with us. we appreciate your time. harvard law professor emeritus the alan dershowitz. quick break and then the pressure to prosecute the 45th president of the united states and joe biden's political rival.

file charges against president trump, pomerantz opted to go public writing a book and orchestrating a pressure campaign to force bragg into action, and it worked. joining me right now is the chairman of the committee, "sunday morning futures" exclusion whetherrive, the chairman of the house judiciary committee, congressman jim e jordan. mr. chairman, thanks very much for being here this morning. >> good to be with you, maria. maria: so you're investigating the investigators. tell us what you found. >> yeah. well, professor dershowitz just said there's no crime here, and when there's no crime there, there's no case. that's why the department of justice didn't bring a case, why the federal elections committee didn't bring a case, that that's why alvin bragg's predecessor didn't bring the case. and, frankly, even alvin bragg, when he gets in office a -- although he campaigned on saying i'm going to go after trump -- even he wouldn't bring the case because there's noing this there. their star witness michael cohen, a convicted perjurer who lied six times in front of a congressional committee. there's nothing there until, until two things happened.

one, president trump announces he's running for president, and then, two, mark pomerantz, who had volunteered, who wasn't even paid he was so committed to going after president trump, he didn't even take a value -- salary, he's working for alvin bragg. he resigned, goes public and writes a book. that's what prompted alvin bragg to bring this case when there is no case and no crime. and our report lays all that out. in fact, pomerantz, he wasn't even -- we subpoenaed him, and he fought it. we went to court, and the judge, the court says, no, you have got to come testify. so he comes testifies and takes the fifth umpteen times. it's all a political. and, again, as a eric trump said earlier, i think the country sees. maria: well, that's what i wanted to ask you, is that resonating on people. whether or not what you're saying is right, that there's no crime, we can't figure out what the crime is, or president trump is in court every day all a day long, and he's sitting there. and hen you've got joe biden on the other side of the screen campaigning in all of these

swing states. after a while does this resonate in the psyche of american citizens and voters that they just assume one guy's bad, one guy's good? >> well, yeah, i think we're way past that because they've seen this weaponization of government. they've seen this lawfare, and they've seen just the escalation of attacks on president trump all the way back to '16. they spied on his campaign, then it was the mueller or investigation, then it was impeachment, then they raided his home, then it's jack smith, then it's alvin bragg, then it's fani willis, then it's the 4th amendment and now it's this trial in new york, the it's gag order. if there's one thing that beings me more than anything else, it's the fact that they put a gag order on the president of the united states, former president of the united states and the nominee for the republican party running for president. he's got a gag order but michael cohen, a convicted perjurer, gets to say whatever he wants? that's ridiculous. and here's the other thing i noticed this week too. when you look at what happened at the supreme court, and it looked like the argument as went very well for our side.

when you look at what happened there, everyone's saying, oh, this is probably going to get sent back to a lower court and they're going to sort through the facts and there there won't be a trial before the election. all the mainstream media's talking about, oh, we're not going to have a trial before the election. why the heck does that matter? i thought you were focused on getting the to the truth. it's all political for these folks. and here's the other thing, maria. bragg is -- the crime he's trying to get to is, oh, president trump was involved in a conspiracy to obstruct the 2020 -- 2016 election. and then jack smith is saying president trump was involved in a conspiracy if to interfere with the 2020 election. seems to me the truth really is alvin bragg and jack smith are in a conspiracy to impact the 2024 race. and, frankly, fani willis is part of that effort as a well. that's what the american people see. maria: well, look, i mean, at this point american citizens are asking what can you do about it. i mean, look, with all due respect, people are sick and

tired of congressional investigations that go nowhere. people are sick and tired of letters being written and sent to the people who we know are bad in the first place. they want you to do something about it. your an elected official. what can you do to right these wrongs? -- you're an elected official. >> well, we passed legislation out of the committee that would the help remedy the situation, particularly the one many new york, the president or vice president can move a case to federal court for when you do these state prosecutors who are going after someone with for a political reason are. so we're a legislative branch. we can't put anyone in jail, and i don't think the biden administration, their doj is going to go after the people they need to go after. you're just not going to get that from merrick garland. i asked a question a couple weeks ago, you know, what -- we all know from the if biden administration who planted the pipe bombs on january 6th, who leaked the dobbs draft opinion, you know, the one that led to an assassination if attempt on justice kavanaugh. who put cocaine in the white house? we don't seem to get the answers to those questions but, oh, you can have someone like jack smith

go after trump. you can have the doj say we're going to investigate parents who show up at school board meet, you can have the richmond fbi say, oh, if you're a pro-life catholic, you're an extreme u.s. e. they've got time for all that, but they can't answer fundamental questions that i think the american people would like answers to. our job is to get the facts out there and to look at legislation. we can't prosecute anyone, only the doj and, frankly, the biden doj's just not going to do it. maria: well, people want the know if, in fact, they are looking at the freedom that they expected. i want to get your take on this extension of fisa, section 702. tell us how you voted and why. we're going to talk about this with michael waltz coming up because he is very -- >> yeah. maria: -- he wants to talk about why it was important to pass it. but when you are looking at or trying to search for one of the bad guys, a terrorist, and you're surveilling their phone, when the fbi surveilling their phone calls, ordinary americans can get swept up in that.

and they want to know if they're being spied on by their government. what's worse, being spied on by the chinese communist party or by the fbi? how did you vote? >> i voted against it. you're right, they're sweeping up americans in this too, and you get what i call this giant haystack of information. and it's real simple, if you're going to then query which i always say is a fancy word for search, if you're going to search this giant day database of information and use an american's name, phone number or e-mail address, you've got to get a warrant. we offered that amendment and it lost on a tie vote, 212-212 which is unfortunate. if that passes, then i think it's fine. we should have voted for it. it didn't pass, so i did not support that legislation because, remember, just putting more rules on the fbi, the same fbi that went after president trump and spied on his campaign in 2016, the same fbi that said parents are terrorists, that said if you're a pro-life catholic, you're an extremist and the same fbi who retaliated
